Ambrose Scramble Rules and T&C's
Rules of the Day
1. The Event is a 4 ball-player Ambrose Teams Event.
2. All Golfers must wear at collared shirt.
3. Players will play in groups of 8 (2 teams of 4) per tee
4. Each player must contribute 3 tee shots – marked on card
5. For all tee shots, the selected player’s shot is marked, only the 3 remaining team members play the following shot. This continues with the remaining shots until play is on the putting surface, on each shot dropping the chosen ball’s player leaving 3 remaining players.
6. All putt from the marked position on the green within 15cm of the mark. No nearer to the hole.
7. Preferred lie of 1 club length but other than on the green, the ball must be in same or similar surface or lie, i.e. on fairway, off fairway, in rough or in bunker.
8. All rules of Golf apply as per Golf Australia.
9. Handicaps are active certified PGA or AGU handicaps or Men’s maximum 18 and Women’s maximum 30. Players must submit their Golf Link Number upon registration.
10. Registration closes at COB Thursday August 29 2024;
11. The Team handicap is the sum of all 4 players individual handicap divided by 8. E.g. 5 + 12 + 18 + 30 = 65 divided by 8 = 8.125.
Hole in One - Quintrex 450 Prize - Terms and Conditions
- Hole in one competition on Hole 3. The minimum distance from tee to pin shall be 151 metres which means all players will tee off from the same location.
- No practice shots are permitted.
- All equipment used during the Hole in One attempt must conform to the specifications laid down by the PGA or Royal and Ancient Golf Club.
- All players must be filmed and should a hole in one occur the film must show the ball also being removed from the cup by the successful player.
- If more than one person scores a hole in one on tee 3, there will be a play off for nearest to the pin, to determine the prize winner.
- The prize is a Quintrex 450 Top Ender from Muir Marine as supplied valued at $43,386. Any further customisation of this boat will be at the expense of the winner.
Registration Terms and Conditions
REGISTRATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
- Registrations must be made through the booking link HERE
- Once Registered, players may cancel their registration and receive a 50% refund up until 30th August 2024. Any cancellations after this date will forfeit their registration fee in full. This is applicable for both individual registrations and group registrations. (No cancellations and registrations close at COB August 29)
- If any individual player that has registered as part of a team of 4 wishes to pull out prior to the 30th August 2024, that player can be substituted for an alternative person with no refund given. Alternatively, BJI can place an individually registered player in that team and provide the group registration with a 50% refund to the value of that player.
- Once registered, players who are unable to attend but would like to sub out for an alternative player may do so. This is applicable for both individual registrations or group registrations. But have to have handicap verified
- By registering for the event you agree that a photographer will be present on the day and may take photos of you which may be used for marketing purposes after the event for the following years event. If you would not like photos of you taken, you need to advise the photographer on the day. To be able to participate in the Hole-in-one competition for the Quintrex boat, photos of you taking your shot off the tee are mandatory.
CATERING AND DRINKS SERVICE
- All players must provide dietary requirements at the time of registration, or at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the event. Failure to do so will result in BJI being unable to cater for this player on the day.
- While dietary requirements will be catered for, due to limitations in space, BJI cannot guarantee that cross contamination will not occur during the food preparation or cooking process. Should you have acute allergies, we suggest discussing this with us prior to registration. Alternatively, please ensure you have your own first aid device (ie. Epi-Pen) on you at all times.
- Drinks service on the day will be provided by the Busselton Golf Club. Service of Alcohol will be done under their licence. RSA conditions will be applied at all times
- A drinks cart will be going around the course during the day to offer teams refreshments. This drinks service is only possible with CASH. Please ensure you are able to purchase a drink, please bring cash with you.
GOLF CARTS AND HIRE
- Golf Carts are available for hire on the day. This can be booked and hired through Busselton Golf Club Pro Shop. Please call them to book. There are a limited number of Golf Carts available and will be allocated to teams of 4 on a first come, first serve basis. BJI takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts on the day.
- If you have your own golf cart you wish to use, you are more than welcome to do so. All Busselton Golf Club rules regarding use of golf carts on their course apply while attending this event.
- If you need to hire golf clubs for the day, this can be done through Busselton Golf Club. Please call them directly to book. BJI takes no responsibility for the availability of equipment on the day.
RISK MANAGEMENT
- BJI takes no responsibility for the use of golf carts or golf equipment either hired or personal on the day. No accidents, injuries, damage or loss will be covered by BJI either to a registered player, players equipment, hired equipment, another player or bystander or any combination of the above.
- BJI will have basic first aid available on site over the duration of the day in addition to any first aid supplied by Busselton Golf Club.
Auction and Raffle Rules
Auction Terms & Conditions
- Bidding is open to those aged 18 or older only.
- Bidders must include a full name, phone number, and signature as condition of their bid. By placing a bid bidders agree to the Terms and Conditions in full.
- Bidding will begin at 8.30am and end at 4.50pm. No bids will be accepted after auction close at 4.50pm
- Items are sold in as-is condition.
- Items may change or be withdrawn prior to bidding start without notice.
- Auction items are priced based on their Fair Market Value. Bids must meet the minimum bidding increment requirement which is 10% of Fair Market Value. Bids that do not meet the minimum bidding increment risk disqualification.
- Bidders may place multiple bids on the same item.
- All bids and sales are final and binding.
- Bidders agree to pay in full as per their bid, on the night of the Auction. Payment can be made via cash or Eftpos. Winning item must be claimed and collected on the evening of the auction. Alternative collection date is at the discretion of Busselton Jetty event staff.
- The highest bid above the reserve price at auction close will be the winning bid. Winners will be determined and announced at the end of the Auction. In the event that an auction win is not claimed or paid for on the evening of the event, the prize will go to the next highest bidder.
- The winning bid payment does not attract GST.
- Limits or restrictions may apply to prize redemption. Please check information for each item.
- BJI does not accept any liability for any additional costs the Winner may incur in relation to their prize acceptance or redemption.
- BJI does not accept any liability for risks associated with prize acceptance or redemption.
Raffle Terms & Conditions
- Raffle is open to those aged 18 or older only.
- Raffle will begin at 8.30am and end at 4.50pm. No tickets will be accepted after 4.50pm.
- Participants must complete all details required on the raffle ticket. Incomplete tickets are not eligible to win.
- The winner will be announced at the closing presentations of the Busselton Jetty Golf Day on September 13th, 2024, via physical ticket draw. The winner may be required to provide matching photo ID. In the event the winner has left the venue, the winner will be contacted via phone or email by Busselton Jetty Inc.
- Prize consists of a Private Dinner by Chef Tony Howell valued at $2000 for up to 8 guests, at a private residence of the winner’s choosing within the South West Region (City of Busselton or Shire of Augusta Margaret River LGAs). Menu to be negotiated between Chef Tony Howell and winner. Food or beverage requests exceeding $2000 value are to be at winners cost and are subject to Chef discretion.
- Prize redemption is valid for 12 months after the date of the prize draw. Date to be negotiated between Busselton Jetty Inc., Chef Tony Howell, and winner based on business and operational requirements. Exclusion dates apply, final date to be at the discretion of Busselton Jetty Inc and Chef Tony Howell.
- BJI Prize is not redeemable for cash or credit, however may be transferred to another person.
- BJI does not accept any liability for any additional costs the Winner may incur in relation to their prize acceptance or redemption.
