The Board
The Busselton Jetty Board of Management comprises of 8 volunteer professionals all with various skill sets to oversee the governance of Busselton Jetty Inc.
The Board is elected at the AGM each year for 2-year terms, rotating 4 members each year.
Chairperson
Dr Natasha Teakle
Tash is an experienced director, business owner and innovation facilitator. Her business Innovation Cluster is based in Vasse and supports regional entrepreneurs and sustainable industries.
Tash is heavily involved in the local community and contributes to the Busselton Jetty Board through her networks, research background and strategic approach to problem-solving.
Tash has been on the Board since 2019 and also Chairs the BJEF. Tash trained as a research scientist and has a PhD in Plant Biology. She has qualifications in university teaching, research commercialisation, sustainable business management, leadership and is a graduate of the AICD. Tash is Chair of the Food Technology Facility in Peel, Non-Executive Director for South West NRM, Harvestaire and South West Angels.
Deputy Chairperson
Sinan Kerimofski
Sinan is an experienced educational leader with over 20 years’ experience as a school administrator of both rural and metropolitan primary schools. Since 2021 Sinan has been a system leader in the role of Collegiate Principal. This role is a key part of the WA Public School Leadership Strategy designed to enhance levels of student achievement by supporting principals across the state.
Sinan has a Bachelor of Arts in Education (majoring in Physical Education) and was previously a National Board member of Australian Council for Educational Leadership. Sinan is passionate about maintaining the Jetty for future generations. He is also a 20-year committee member of the Busselton Jetty Swim.
Treasurer
Ken Preston
Ken started working life in the mining industry, then became an Accountant, was CEO of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River for 12 years before becoming partner in Stocker Preston in 1988 before it was sold in 2023. He has been involved in several community organisations before being elected to the Board of the Busselton Jetty in 2018.
Ken’s focus on the Board has been the retention of this tourist icon and ability for the Jetty to function and expand to meet public needs and provide funding to maintain the State asset. Ken is proud to be a Jetty Board member supporting the organisation, its loyal staff and many Jetty volunteers who make an enormous contribution
Board Member
Steve Disley
Steve is a consulting civil engineer with 40-years’ experience in design and construction of civil infrastructure projects and lives and operates Ascent Engineering Pty Ltd in Dunsborough.
Steve has extensive knowledge of the Busselton Jetty structure, its maintenance needs, heritage and environmental values, licensing, financing and management arrangements, gained from project managing (for the City of Busselton) the major refurbishment of the Jetty in 2009-2012.
Steve also wrote the Jetty’s 50-year maintenance plan to ensure the Jetty is sustainable for future generations to enjoy. He was elected the BJI Board of Management in 2016 and has provided valuable insight into the Jetty’s asset management.

Ray Mountney
Director of Muir’s WA, Ray has been involved in the car industry since 17, buying the Fennessy Family business in 1998. Ray and his family then acquired the Muir Family business in Manjimup, now rebranded Ford, Nissan and Marine.
A past Chair of the WA Small Business Development Corporation, Ray spent considerable time as state delegate on the Automotive Dealer Council working on the ACCC review into the Automotive industry and overhaul of the Franchise Code of Conduct. He is currently President of the WA Motor Trade Association. Ray joined the Jetty Board to participate and contribute as he holds deep personal ties with the Jetty’s history.

Nicole Davies
Nicole has a strong foundation in environmental management, audit and compliance from mining and energy sectors, bringing a strategic focus on risk management and regulatory assurance to the Board.
Having operated a local retail business for over 10 years, her experience in retail business management has equipped her with keen business insights and a customer-centric approach, complementing her environmental science background.
An active community member, Nicole is dedicated to leveraging her diverse skill set for BJI’s collective success, focusing on compliance, sustainability, and risk mitigation to support the Jetty’s strategic
Board Member
Graeme Harris
Graeme is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has held numerous senior management positions including a stint managing companies in Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia. Since his first visit to the South West in 1989, he has been enamoured with the region and a regular visitor ever since, both for business and pleasure.
In late 2019 he was able to realise a long-held desire to permanently live in the area residing initially in Dunsborough, and then, Busselton. Graeme was elected to the Busselton Jetty Board in 2023 which has enabled him to address another long-held desire of using his skills and experience for the benefit of the community.
