Children's University
The Children’s University program opens young minds to a world of learning, fostering curiosity and encouraging children to discover the world around them whilst having fun!
Learning Destinations, such as Busselton Jetty, help to deliver the Children’s University Program along with other organisations including public libraries, zoos, parks, museums, art galleries.
Children’s University in Western Australia is delivered by Edith Cowan University through the Children’s University Western Australia Partnership ECU and The University of Western Australia through Children’s University Western Australia Partnership UWA.
To learn more about the program and opportunities to be involved, you can contact members of the CU WAP team at childrensuniversity@ecu.edu.au or childrensuniversity@uwa.edu.au
All learning experiences approved by the Children’s University are designed with links to current university courses. These experiences take place outside of the normal school classroom e.g. after school, weekends and holidays.
Students enrolled with the Children’s University can participate in activities of their choice, get their ‘passports’ stamped and are recognised for hours of activity participation through formal certificates at an on-campus graduation ceremony – complete with official regalia!
Children’s University members can visit the Busselton Jetty to receive up to 2 hours in their Passport to Learning, plus access educational activities to do at home through the program portal for further participation credits.
All activities at Busselton Jetty have been accredited so Children’s University members can access the Underwater Observatory, Jetty Train, Jetty Walk and Interpretive Centre to receive learning recognition.
Show your Children’s University Passport at time of booking to access our learning materials!
